And She's Off!

Sister Connery has officially reported to the Missionary Training Center to begin her missionary service!! Mom, Adam, Chris, Wendy and lots of cute nieces and nephews bid her a fond farewell this morning and then kicked her out of the car :) This is the first time Mom has dropped off a missionary at the MTC (instead of putting them on a plane), and she says the anticipation of dropping Grace off was harder than the moment of separation itself. After arriving with plenty of time to take pictures both at the MTC and the adjacent Provo Temple, they received a pink vehicle tag and settled in to wait in line in an underground parking garage with dozens of others there for the same purpose. After 45 minutes of waiting, they were greeted by a senior sister missionary who informed everyone that the moment had arrived! After tears and smiles all around, Sister Connery continued on into the MTC. Mom said she was able to catch a glimpse of Grace as they drove away, and the family's newest missionary was all smiles as she headed into the MTC talking with her senior guide! We can't wait for the first official email next week :) Au revoir, Sister Connery!! Nous t'aimons!
